How do I sign up for Banzena?
Signing up is a quick guided wizard: describe what you sell in a sentence, pick a store name, create your account, and your store goes live. No credit card is needed to build your store, so you can get set up before you're ready for your first order.
How does the AI build my store from a description?
You type a one-line description of what you sell, and our AI builder suggests store names, writes your product descriptions and page copy, and picks a theme that suits your products. It also stands up a real, mobile-ready storefront with standard pages like Privacy Policy, Terms, Refund and Shipping policies, Contact and About.
How long does it take to get my store live?
Most stores are up and running in minutes. The AI writes your copy and lays everything out, so you go from a description to a live storefront on your own yourname.banzena.com address right away.
Do I need any technical skills to use Banzena?
Not at all. You describe your shop in plain words and the AI builds it for you, with no coding, design work, or setup to figure out. If you'd like your own domain later, you can connect one with free automatic SSL.
Can I edit my store after the AI builds it?
Yes, everything is yours to adjust. You can switch themes any time, edit colours, fonts and your logo, rewrite any of the copy, and add as many products as you like across physical goods, digital downloads, and services or bookings.
How much does it cost to start?
It's free to start with nothing upfront, no monthly fee, and no setup cost. Banzena only earns a flat 1% on a confirmed card sale, so if you don't sell, you don't pay a thing.

How much does Banzena cost?

Is there a monthly subscription or plan I have to pick?
No. There are no monthly fees and no plans to choose between, just simple pay-as-you-go pricing of 1% per confirmed sale. Your store stays active the whole time, never gated behind a bill.
What do I actually get for free?
Building your store is free, including the AI builder, your free yourshop.banzena.com subdomain with automatic SSL, your storefront and standard pages, and the option to connect your own custom domain at no extra cost. You only pay the 1% fee once you start making card sales.
When exactly does the 1% fee apply?
The 1% fee applies only to confirmed card payments, taken automatically at checkout. Cash-on-delivery orders, where the buyer pays when the order arrives, carry no Banzena fee at all.
Do I need a credit card to build my store?
No card is needed to create your store and get it live. You set up payments later, whenever you're ready to start taking orders.
How do I get paid for my sales?
You connect your own Stripe account, and card payments from your customers flow straight into it. Banzena's 1% is taken as a small fee on each card sale, so the rest is yours.

Your domain & store

What web address will my store have?
Every store gets a free Banzena web address in the form yourname.banzena.com, live the moment you finish signing up. If you'd rather use your own domain, you can connect one too, but the free subdomain always works out of the box.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. You can connect your own custom domain, like shop.yourbrand.com, so your store lives on your own URL with your brand front and centre. It's included at no extra cost, and you keep full ownership of your domain and your customers.
How do I connect my own domain?
You point a couple of DNS records at Banzena (a CNAME plus a short verification record) at your domain provider, and Cloudflare issues your security certificate automatically once everything checks out. Your free banzena.com address keeps working the whole time, so your store is never offline while you set it up.
Do I get HTTPS and a secure padlock on my store?
Yes. Every store comes with free, automatic SSL, so both your free banzena.com address and any custom domain you connect load securely with the padlock, no setup or certificate purchase needed on your part.
Will my store still be mine if I use my own domain?
Absolutely. The idea is your shop, your domain, your customers, with no lock-in. Connecting your own URL just puts your brand at the centre of the experience, while Banzena handles the hosting and security behind the scenes.

Payments & orders

How can my customers pay?
Shoppers can pay by card at a secure checkout or choose cash on delivery, where they pay when the order arrives. Both options are turned on by default the moment your store goes live, and customers pick whichever they prefer at checkout.
Who handles the card payments?
Card payments run through Stripe, a trusted PCI-compliant processor that keeps card details secure, so Banzena never stores anyone's card information. You connect your own Stripe account when you're ready to take card orders, with no card required from you just to build a store.
How do I get paid?
Card sales go straight into your own connected Stripe account, so the money is yours from the start. For cash on delivery, you collect payment directly from the customer when the order arrives.
What does Banzena take from a sale?
Banzena charges a flat 1% only on a confirmed card sale, and that's it: no monthly fee and nothing upfront. Cash-on-delivery orders carry no Banzena fee at all, and if you don't sell, you don't pay a thing.
Where do I manage my orders?
Your dashboard shows every order alongside your customers, sales and stock levels, and inventory updates automatically as orders come in. You'll get an email alert for each new order, and your customers receive an order confirmation in your shop's name.
Can I refund an order?
Yes, and when an order's status changes to refunded, Banzena automatically emails the customer to let them know. Every new store also comes with a ready-made Refund Policy page you can edit to match how you handle returns.

Products & customizing

Can I sell both physical products and digital downloads?
Yes. You can add unlimited products across three types: physical goods you ship, digital downloads, and services or bookings. Digital files are delivered to your customer instantly, with the download links included right in their order confirmation email.
How do I add products to my store?
You add products from your dashboard, where you also keep an eye on orders, customers, sales, and stock. The AI builder gives you a head start by writing product descriptions when it sets up your shop, and your stock count goes down automatically as orders come in.
Can I change the design after the AI builds my store?
Absolutely. The AI picks a theme to match your products, and you can switch to a different one any time, plus edit your colours, fonts, and logo to make it your own. Your storefront stays mobile-ready whatever you choose.
What themes can I choose from?
There are six beautiful, mobile-ready themes to pick from: Atelier, Punch, Folio, Hearth, Slate, and Bounce. The AI chooses one to suit your products during setup, and you're free to switch between them whenever you like.
Is there a limit on how many products I can list?
No, you can add as many products as you like across physical goods, digital downloads, and services. You can also set up discounts and promo codes, and configure shipping rates as flat, free, or based on location.

Email & notifications

Will my customers get an order confirmation email?
Yes. The moment an order comes through, Banzena automatically emails your customer a confirmation and sends you a new-order alert too, so you both stay in the loop without lifting a finger.
What emails does Banzena send automatically?
Banzena handles all the transactional emails for you: order confirmations to customers, new-order alerts to you, order status updates when something ships, is delivered, fulfilled or refunded, a welcome email, an abandoned-cart reminder, and password resets. You can also send newsletters to your shoppers, each with an unsubscribe link.
Who do these emails look like they come from?
Customer-facing emails show your shop's name as the sender, so buyers see your store in their inbox rather than "Banzena." The technical From address is noreply@banzena.com, but the visible name is your store's name.
If a customer replies to an order email, where does it go?
Replies are directed to support@banzena.com, and every email includes a footer inviting customers to reply or write to that address, so nothing falls through the cracks.
Do digital download customers get their files by email?
Yes. When someone buys a digital product, the download links are included right in their order email, so they get instant access the moment they check out.

Security & your data

Is my store secure? Do you use HTTPS?
Yes. Every store gets HTTPS with free, automatic SSL, both on your free banzena.com address and on any custom domain you connect, so traffic between your shoppers and your store is always encrypted.
Where is Banzena hosted?
Your store runs on Cloudflare's global edge network, which serves your pages and images from a location close to each shopper for fast loads worldwide. The same network helps keep your storefront protected and reliable.
Who owns the data in my store?
It's your store and your customers. Each store's data is kept separate from every other store on the platform, and connecting your own custom domain means your shop, your domain, and your customers stay yours with no lock-in.
How are payment card details kept safe?
Card payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, so card numbers are never stored by Banzena, and your customers' funds flow straight to your own connected Stripe account.
How do you protect my store from spam and bots?
Signups are protected by Cloudflare's human-verification check, and incoming orders pass through built-in bot and spam filtering. Accounts are protected too, with hashed passwords and password-reset links that are single-use and expire after one hour.

How do I get help if I'm stuck?
You can email us anytime at support@banzena.com, and you'll always hear back from a real person, never a robot. Our team is around Monday to Friday and usually replies within one working day, often sooner.
What is the Help centre?
The Help centre is our self-serve library of step-by-step guides, open 24/7 so you can find answers whenever you need them. Guides are organised by topic, including Getting started, Products and inventory, Payments and payouts, Custom domains, Orders and shipping, and Growth and account.
Do you offer phone support or live chat?
We don't have a phone line or live chat, but you can always reach a real person by email at support@banzena.com. Between emails, the Help centre is open around the clock for quick answers.
How does the contact form work?
The contact form on our site simply opens your own email app with a message to support@banzena.com already filled in, so you just add your question and send. You can also email support@banzena.com directly if you prefer.
Who should I contact about sales, partnerships, or careers?

How do I check if Banzena is running normally?
We have a public status page where you can see the current health of storefronts, the dashboard, checkout, custom domains and SSL, email, and our API. It's the quickest way to confirm everything is up and running.
