Built to be used by everyone
We want every Banzena storefront to be easy to use, whatever device or assistive technology a visitor relies on. This page explains what we are doing to get there, where we still have work to do, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Start freeWorking towards recognised standards
Accessibility matters to us, both for the dashboard you use to run your shop and for the storefronts your customers visit. We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as our reference, and we treat this as an ongoing effort rather than a box we have ticked once.
To be honest with you: we are not claiming full conformance or formal certification. We are committed to improving steadily over time, fixing issues as we find them and as people report them to us.
Steps we take
Across Banzena we try to build in good practices from the start, rather than bolting them on later.
Semantic structure
Pages are built with clear, semantic HTML so screen readers and other tools can make sense of headings, links, and content.
Keyboard navigation
We aim for navigation and key actions to be usable with a keyboard, not only a mouse or touch.
Readable contrast
We work towards colour combinations that stay readable, so text is easier to make out against its background.
Mobile-ready layouts
Every storefront is mobile-ready, so it reflows and stays usable across phones, tablets, and larger screens.
Descriptive labels
We use descriptive labels on buttons, links, and form fields so it is clearer what each one does.
Accessible themes
Our themes are built with accessibility in mind, so the store you launch starts from a sensible foundation.
This is ongoing, and not yet perfect
Accessibility is never truly finished. Some areas of Banzena will be better than others, and there will be issues we have not caught yet. We keep reviewing and improving as the product grows.
If you rely on assistive technology and run into a barrier, we would genuinely like to know. Your reports help us prioritise the fixes that matter most.
Tell us, or ask for help
If you hit an accessibility problem, or you need help with something on Banzena, email support@banzena.com. A real person answers, Monday to Friday, usually within one working day.
When you write in, it helps to tell us the page or store you were on, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you were using. The more detail you can share, the faster we can look into it.
Our help centre is also open 24/7 if you would like to read through it any time.
